E3 2013 may be a conference where both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 made their first official appearances together. However, the show really wasn’t about those consoles. With Microsoft and Sony revealing them at events earlier in the year, the focus was placed back on the software. For gamers, this is a good thing. This is an Action RPG that is deep on combat and requires players to take things slow, wait for an opportunity, and only then will they have a chance at killing a boss. Many controllers were broken as they were slammed down in disgust over the demo for Dark Souls II and the “Mirror Boss” that only one person could beat all of E3.
