Wario Ware Wii
Players: 1 to 4 Player Game | Genre: Party
Wario Ware DS is one of the most simple and surprisingly fun games that has come out for the DS. It is extremely easy to pick up and get involved in the frenetic pace of five-second mini games that has you doing everything from unrolling toilet paper to petting a cat. Today, at Nintendo’s booth at E3, I was lucky enough to get my grubby little paws on the Wii controller and intensely fun Wario Ware Wii.
If you have played Wario Ware DS, you know that there isn’t time to breathe between mini-games. The same holds completely true for WW Wii. Instructions pop up on the screen before you are thrown into the game. In this case, you are shown how to hold the Wii controller before you have to play the game.
The first game manner in which I was instructed to hold the controller was like an “umbrella.” Basically, this meant upright. Then, I was thrown into a track and field meet and had to run down the track by moving my arm up and down as if I were running. Then, I was instructed to hold the controller like a “chauffer”- sideways with hands on both sides. I failed miserably in trying to keep a man on a ball. There were so many more fun games to follow, including balancing a broom, stir-frying vegetables, and swatting a fly.
Wario Ware Wii is going to be a game that will take full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii controller. It was so much fun, I cant wait to pick up the full version when the system launches.
