Firefall Expands from Bioware Austin

Firefall, the new Free to Play Massively Multiplayer Online Action Game, from Red 5 Studios, has recently increased their staff from 60 to over a hundred employees.
In an interview with PC Gamer, Red 5 Studios Designer Dave Williams had this to say about the new addition of employees: “About 80 percent or 90 percent of the people we’ve added in the past few months have been from 38 and Bioware. Two months ago we had a staff of 60, and now we’re at just over 100. We’ve found some incredibly talented people who are really happy. It’s allowed us to build up the team quickly.”
The move in employees comes shortly after Bioware Co-Founder Greg Zeschuk, stepped down from the Bioware Austin studio. Bioware Austin is the team behind the largely hyped and now failing MMO Star Wars The Old Republic. While The Old Republic struggles into the Free to Play market, Firefall is poised to make a big impact on the market. Time will tell as the title is still in closed beta.
