M3: My Morning Musings – GTA V Delayed, Madden Name Change, & More

Starting off today’s Musings, Rockstar has revealed that the eagerly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V, is being pushed WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY back to September 17, 2013. The title was originally planned for a Spring 2013 release. Rockstar also refused to release any details on if the title will be coming to PC or Wii U. Could this GTA title appear on both the current PlayStation and Xbox systems and for the new consoles, rumored to be coming out this holiday season, as well?
Regardless of that, Take Two had major stock price hits on this news.
Are you ready for my San Francisco 49ers to win their 6th Super Bowl this Sunday? EA plans to celebrate the “Big Game” by revealing details about their upcoming Madden title set for release on August 27, 2013. This will be the 25th year of Madden Football and rumor has EA’s Super Bowl ad revealing a brand new name for the franchise.
XSEED has revealed a big lineup of games today for North America. First up, they will be bringing the latest title from Grasshopper Manufacture, Killer is Dead, to our shores! Japanese game fans REJOICE!
Also coming is Ys: Memories of Celceta, the first Y’s game for the PlayStation Vita, Ys I & II Chronicles on Steam, Rune Factory 4 for the 3DS, and Pandora’s Tower for the Wii.
Who knew one little company could get so many projects together for 2013 and the year is just beginning!
Though receiving little praise from us in the Media, Aliens: Colonial Marines is shaping up to be quite a game. There is even a Season Pass DLC pack planned for $29.99 that was leaked via GameStop for the PC. From the listing, the DLC will include: “campaign content, additional multiplayer maps, new modes, character customization and more.”
Need a new PlayStation 3? Sony thinks you do and they are continuing their trend of special bundle editions with a Red “new Slimline” PlayStation 3 coming on March 12, 2013, for $349.99. This version will come packed with a 500 GB Hard Drive and will include every God of War game in the series: God of War, God of War 2, God of War III, God of War Chains of Olympus, God of War: Ghosts of Sparta, God of War: Ascension, and a 30 day PlayStation Plus membership.
