Are you prepared for the Alien Invasion on your Mac? Get ready because later this Spring XCOM: Enemy Unknown is coming to OS X! Originally released last year on the PC, the Mac version will include all previously released add-on content. This includes the Second Wave, Elite Soldier, and Slingshot.

There are currently no plans for the Mac version to come to Steam. So if you were hoping for a cross-play version, you are out of luck. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed yet. But hey, at least the Mac platform is getting one of the best Strategy Games in years, right?

DDO is celebrating its 7th anniversary in the MMO space and a brand new expansion is being worked on at Turbine. Shadowfell Conspiracy is the second expansion for DDO and it will take players into new regions within Cormyr. Included in the expansion will be a raise in the level cap from 25 to 28, and content for players level 15 and up!

Besides the expansion, Turbine has lots of new stories and content coming up this year. If you haven’t had a chance to check out DDO, or its been a while since you played, make sure you create an account at and jump into this incredible F2P game.

Still looking for Bioshock on your PS Vita that Ken Levine spoke about at E3 2011? Levine is too:
“I’ve got my fingers crossed that that’s going to happen because it’s something I want to do, but until somebody starts signing the checks, there’s nothing I can do. At the end of the day, I work for Take-Two and they need to be able to fund that development, and they need to make sure they have a deal in place that makes sense for them and makes sense for Sony.

I ideally wouldn’t have talked about the Vita game when I did. It was understandably important that, you know, Sony wanted us to share that information.”

Okay Sony and 2K, get a deal in place so we can have a Bioshock game on the Vita. Why haven’t you already taken care of the details?

Speaking of new games, EA hinted this week that “next-gen” games may start out at $69 and eventually drop down to $59. EA will also continue to include a multitude of microtransactions in their games as they accounted for over 25 million of revenue in the last quarter alone!

There is no reason to raise the cost of the next-generation games but sadly–I don’t see microtransactions going anywhere.

E3 2013 should reveal many new projects. Besides the announcement Square-Enix promised for PS4, we could also see a sequel to Deus Ex Human Revolution. A new trademark has been filed for Deus Ex Human Defiance. Lets hope they don’t outsource the boss battles if this is indeed a new title in the Deus Ex franchise.

The cat is out of the bag and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has been revealed with box art by Ubisoft today. The image features a new assassin with a cutlass and three guns with a pirate ship in the background.

The PlayStation 3 version of Assassin’s Creed 4 will include 60 minutes of Exclusive gameplay. We will learn more about the title on March 4.

We do not know yet if this version of Assassin’s Creed will appear on the next-generation of platforms from Sony or Microsoft.

EA revealed that it wasn’t in their best interest to attend the Sony PlayStation 4 event held earlier this month. Now further information is leaking that Microsoft and EA will announce some type of special partnership at the Xbox Event scheduled in April.

EA has always been a multiplatform developer. Will this partnership offer some type of exclusive DLC, a timed DLC exclusive, or a timed exclusive title for the next Xbox platform? The game that makes the most sense for this is the upcoming game from Respawn Entertainment. They were behind Call of Duty and had exclusive deals with Microsoft in the past.

Ubisoft has revealed that Watch Dogs’ lead platform is not the PlayStation 4, it isn’t the Xbox 360, Wii U, or PlayStation 3 either. The lead platform is the PC! Despite accusing PC players of being pirates and thieves, the PS4, and all other platforms Watch Dogs will appear on, will be ports from the PC version.

CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot shed some light on how development has worked at Ubisoft:
“Previously, we developed games first on the Xbox 360 and then translated them to the PS3. It took a lot of time and money to make that port. Now we develop from the PC and versions are translated to consoles like the PlayStation 4.”

While previously reported to be region locked for online play, Capcom will patch the Wii U Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in April to allow online play for North America and Europe.

The April patch will also include off-TV play via the Wii U Gamepad.

Community feedback was cited to be the reason for the change. Hey Capcom, how about giving the 3DS version online play without the use of the Wii U and the LAN adapter?
