Fantasia: Music Evolved First Look
Players: 1 Player Game |
Release Date: TBA 2014
Players control Fantasia: Music Evolved by swinging their arms, in rhythm. Sadly, this means, at least according to my wife, I will have no chance to master this title because I have none. Each song has two different remixes for you to direct, via your arms, as a Mickey Mouse inspired Fantasia Wizard.
The first mode is the song itself. The second mode is The Shoal. This is an underwater-type area that evolves and changes as you progress through the song. Just like in Fantasia, the environments and music are tied together. But this isn’t simply a remake of all the classic Disney musical scores. Thus far, Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody, Fun – Some Nights, Kimbra – Settle Down, AVICII – Levels, and Bruno Mars – Locked Out of Heaven, have been revealed to be in the game. Like other Harmonix titles, expect plenty of DLC to be available in the weeks post release along with plenty more songs in the final version.
Players control the music, on screen, via the use of shapes they make with their hands. This gives you the Wizard Power of Mickey Mouse to not only direct the music as normally seen but to freestyle and create your own unique spin upon the songs you know and love.
Fantasia: Music Evolved is coming out in 2014 at a date to be announced later. We are really looking forward to trying out this Kinect only game. Harmonix continues to be the only Third Party that makes Kinect be something worth using.

In 1997, Kaleb started CVGames and since then ttended and covered a variety of different events for the public including PAX, QuakeCon, E3, and many others. With over 20 E3 events covered, there isn't much that surprises Kaleb anymore in the industry as he has seen it all.
Kaleb is married to Emily and they have been together over 20 years. They have 4 boys who share a passion and love for technology and gaming as well.
Kaleb started Parents Press Play to begin podcasting and reaching a more casual segment of the world that tends to have coverage dominated by by "Hardcore," or "Core players. CVGames still exists to cover that section of users.
Combining CVGames and Parents Press Play together, Kaleb created CVGN: The Covering Video Games Network. While world domination is unlikely, our passionate team continues to strive to inform the different audiences with content we are passionate about.
