Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Players: 1 Player Game |
Release Date: TBA
The video started with two men riding on horseback in an area that looked like Afghanistan. One man was definitely directing the other and that one man was Snake himself covered up. Finally, you are left alone and snake ventures off on horseback. This is an open world Metal Gear Solid title that is said to completely redefine stealth-based gameplay and the tactical espionage system that Kojima Productions created in the Metal Gear Solid Franchise.
As you scurry around on horseback, snake can hide over the side of his horse so people cannot see him. Once you jump off the horse, Snake can utilize sandstorms and weather to hide from enemies, jump, dive, and slide on his belly, and utilize the full day and night cycles to get through any obstacles before him. This could very well be the best open world game out of Japan ever made.
We also were shown some new characters. One of them is a female known as Quiet. She is a sniper who doesn’t speak. Other characters we saw were Raiden, friend of Snake and one who has starred before, Ocelot, a tival of Snake, Skull face, a ghost without a past, and Eli, a youth that curses his fate. These are just a few of the characters that will be in the world of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
No release date is currently known for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. However, if I had to guess, I would say the title is a fall 2014 game. Regardless, it is looking really nice and it should be a hit whenever released. We look forward to seeing more from this Xbox One and PlayStation 4 title in the near future.
