The Walking Dead 400 Days First Look
Publisher: Telltale Games
Players: 1 Player Game |
Release Date: July 2013
The new DLC is coming next month, July, for only $4.99 and players will be able to utilize their save file from the completed first season of The Walking Dead game. You will play one of five characters in this one episode installment and these characters will eventually run into each other at the end of the episode. 400 Days, however, is not required for the upcoming Season Two of The Walking Dead. But if you are a fan of the game and are looking for more, why would you not play it?
Each character can be played in any order you want but Telltale does have a specific order they prefer you to play in. The first character, Vince, was shown off at the Telltale presentation at E3 2013. He is a murder and is being transported on Day Two of this Zombie apocalypse. Unlike Lee, Vince is not nearly as nice of a guy. We learn, in a backstory, how he killed someone with a gun. When being transported, one of the prisoners gets killed by the others and he turns into a Walker. As one might guess, this makes things get a bit hairy and despite having friends on this transport, Vince easily shoots one of them in the foot in order to save his own life. Personally, I prefer Lee to Vince but maybe we will grow to love him in this short episode.
So how long is the DLC? It will play out from Day 2, of the Outbreak, until Day 400. Eventually, all five characters you end up playing will meet up at a single spot. Could these be the characters we will be playing in Season 2 of the Walking Dead? Will they be a part of the Season 2 Story? Telltale isn’t saying but we can always speculate.
The Walking Dead Season 1 is coming to the PlayStation Vita platform along with The Walking Dead 400 Days. Besides the Vita, The Walking Dead 400 Days will appear on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and iOS in July. Hopefully we will learn the release window of Season 2 sometime after the release of 400 Days as well.
