Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes First Look
Publisher: Disney Interactive
Players: 1 to 2 Player Game |
Release Date: Fall 2014
For the first time in the Marvel and Disney universes, characters will be able to team up like never before. Imagine a Toy Box level that features Iron Man flying around while Phineas and Perry run around chasing him or the Hulk joining up with Buzz Lightyear to really go to infinity and beyond. This and much more will be possible in the 2.0 release of Disney Infinity.
While the event focused on the heroes of the Marvel Universe–featuring the Avengers–Disney promises that we will get other heroes, villains, and locations all across the massive Marvel universe. As Disney Infinity has entered into various phases of development, the teams at Disney Interactive, Avalanche Software, and Marvel have been at talk to include Marvel characters in Disney Infinity.
But this release of Disney Infinity will focus on things other than the Marvel universe. There will be character releases in the Disney and Pixar universes for the game that will further expand the roster of characters. Speaking of characters, your old toys won’t be left out. They will be able to gain more powers, get higher levels, and obtain more moves. This will assist in making them look and feel just as new and fresh as the new characters.
Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes will feature over 80 power discs that provide new NPCs, different costumes, vehicles, and toy box game modes like Tower Defense and Dungeon Brawlers. The Avengers set that comes with the Starter Pack will be six times larger than the Incredibles set that came with the first Disney Infinity.
For the Toy Box mode, Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes has been upgraded to to include easy creation of cities, racing, dungeons, and even, for the first time, interiors. This will add much needed variety to an already creative mode. Combine that with the upgraded specs available on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, the sky’s the limit for what can be created this time around!
Though we have only had a brief glimpse at Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes, we are eager to see more. I know this is one game that will be very popular at my house this fall with two young boys! We hope to see more at E3 2014.
