M3: My Morning Musings – Ubisoft E3 Lineup, Witcher 2 on Linux, & More

Ubisoft will host a media briefing to deliver new content from its upcoming titles, and also will provide a hands-on experience at its booth for E3 attendees and via the company’s Uplay lounge for Uplay members.
“2014 is the most exciting year the gaming industry has seen in a while. At E3, we can’t wait to share our future of gaming,” said Yves Guillemot, co-founder and CEO, Ubisoft
TellTale Games announced today that the penultimate episode of The Wolf Among Us will come out on May 27. The series has been really good and we hope the fourth episode continues this.
4A Games announced today that the next-gen versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light will be coming later this summer in Metro Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux. The games will cost $24.99, each, as digital downloads or be sold together in a box for $49.99 on the PC, PS4, and XBone.
This August, Minecraft will be hitting the XBone, PS4, and PS Vita for $20. the Vita version will be Cross Buy so if you own it for the PS3, you will also have it for the Vita. The PS4 and XBone version will also be available for a $5 upgrade fee if you already own the X360 and PS3 version.
All of the PS3 DLC will work with the PS Vita version but not every skin and texture pack will work on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. The next-gen consoles will offer larger worlds and the ability to import your last-gen save files.
Finally, CD Projekt RED announced today that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is now available on the Linux platform. Community Manager at CD Projekt RED, Marcin Momot said this:
“We’re really pumped to be able to invite RPG fans who use Linux to the party. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is one of the greatest fantasy adventures on Linux, and I’m sure every role-playing enthusiast with a craving for some quality questing will have tons of fun playing the game!”
The Linux version of the game contains all off the previously released updates and content, so gamers can enjoy the most complete version right from the start. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is available on Steam.
