The Wolf Among Us Episode 4 Review

As Bigby gets back on his feet, he will have to make a choice as to where to navigate to next. One of these locations has a no smoking sign up and you have to decide whether or not to keep smoking. Being in a bad mood after almost dying, I chose to keep smoking. Though the smoking has little to do with the game, I found this to be a fun detail.
Snow is now in charge of the Fables and she is really feeling the pressure of the new job. She wants Bigby to be on his best behavior and begins to order that Fables like Colin, the pig, go back to the farm unless they get a proper glamour. Glamours are expensive and these are rough times for the Fables so there will be some tough choices to make whether or not you enforce Snow’s new hardline policy.
The majority of this episode plays out very slow paced. You will find that the dialogue and choices you make, in Episode 4, really seem to be setting up what happens in the final episode of the season. There will be familiar faces like Beauty and the Beast, Colin, Toad, and others. In addition, you will meet some new faces as well and really begin to understand the mystery set forth in the prior three episodes.
You will learn that a lot of fables are in trouble and that Crane is not nearly as important as he first seemed. Of course, if you have been paying close attention to the story, you probably already were aware of this and assumed this would be the case.
While Episode 3 left us worrying about Bigby’s safety due to the violent nature of the ending, Episode 4 will left me worrying about his safety for an entirely different reason. The end of Season 1 approaches and it is setup to be a real doozy. I can’t wait to see how my favorite adventure game of the year ends. If you haven’t already played The Wolf Among Us, there is no better time than now to jump in, play through the episodes, and get ready for the final. Beware the Crooked Man.
