We are here at the Xbox E3 Media Briefing with a new slogan: Jump Ahead.  Bonnie Ross from 343 Industries takes the stage.  She claims that 2015 will be the biggest year in the history of Xbox with new IP, indie titles, and exclusive IP.  First up is Halo 5.

The demo begins after the area has been bombed and you are with a team looking for Master Chief. You walk up several stairs and a spaceship blasts off in front of you with explosions occurring all around.  The player has to make several jumps through the environment and nearly falls to his death.

As your team progresses, you begin attacking a flying craft and can issue squad commands to the team. You pick up an alien weapon and begin blasting from afar–up top on a platform.  Then you drop down and start taking out all the enemies before slamming into an enemy and killing him.

A big enemy boss appears and the demo ends with you being taken out by him.  Halo 5 looks like it plays amazingly well and should be a big hit when it is released exclusively on Xbox One this fall.

Spartan Locke commands one group and Master Chief commands the other squad.

24 player multiplayer will be playable at E3 in a mode called Warzone

A lot of cinematic trailers are being shown with in game graphics.

Next up is from the creators of Metroid Prime that is being shown for the first time. A cinematic trailer follows showing a young lady and a robot taking on enemy robots.  This is Recore coming in Spring 2016.

Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox takes the stage and says that exclusive new IP is critical for gamers. They will continue to invest in the platform and deliver First Party Exclusives for the Xbox One platform.

Xbox One Backward Compatibility is coming to the platform. You will be able to play Xbox 360 games natively on the Xbox One. There will be hundreds available this fall.  Mass Effect is shown running on Xbox One with full support for Game Streaming on WIndows 10.  Developers don’t have to do anything.

Gamers will never be charged for the games they already own.

Next up is the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller coming this fall. It features a 3.5 MM jack to plug in headsets with pro-level precision on the analog sticks and the ability to remap the buttons, There is also a redesigned D-Pad.

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will be released Spring 2016.  A trailer is shown for the game. It features a cinematic intro the world of Zombies.  No gameplay is shown but it should be an interesting title this Spring.

Forza Motorsport 6 is up next and a full size car is dropped from the ceiling.  It is the Ford GT.  The game will feature over 20 locations and 1080P graphics running at 60 FPS on September 15, 2015 when Forza Motorsport 6 is released.  Not my cup of tea but the next game up is.

Dark Souls 3 is shown off from Namco Bandai and FROM Software.  This is a fully cinematic trailer giving gamers the first taste of the title.Coming out in Early 2016.

Next up is Tom Clancy’s The Division.  A cinematic trailer is shown and the world looks much more polished and better looking than last year. However, real gameplay isn’t being shown.  Personally, I would rather see actually gameplay than these cinematic trailers.

The Division will be coming to Xbox One as an exclusive Beta this December.

On October 13, 2015, Ubisoft will launch Rainbow Six Siege. Rainbow Six Vegas and Vegas 2 will be fully Backward Compatible when the game is released and will come free with the new Rainbow Six Vegas.

Up next is a Windows 10 and Xbox One Exclusive featuring a cartoon graphical look.  This is Gigantic and the beta signup is this August.

ID@Xbox is up next talking about the 1,000 indie developers for Windows and Xbox One. Tacoma is shown from the creators of Gone HOme. You are on a space station and it is a completely foreign environment. What will players find in this world?

Ashen is next and you have to figure out who is friend and who is foe. This game features gigantic monsters that may or may not be friendly.
Cuphead is up next and it looks like a 1930’s cartoon and plays like a 16 bit platformer. It is coming out in 2016 and looks like an amazing, and frustratingly controller throwing experience.

Xbox Game Preview is announced is coming to Xbox One. Players will be able to play a free trial and see if they want to pay early. Two games will be available later today.

The creator of Day Z is up next. Do you want a game that is not a game and a simulation MMO with the risk of death at every corner. His new title is coming to Xbox One and PC and is called Ion. It is coming soon for the Xbox Game Preview.

Rise of the Tomb Raider, the exclusive for Xbox One this holiday is on the stage and shows Lara croft with a flare she has lit walking through a cave with snow coming out on the other end.  You are high above with snowflakes falling down all around you as you climb cautiously up the path. As the cinema plays, you can see Lara’s breath in the environment.

You jump out and grab on to the frozen mountain and begin climbing with your ice picks.  THe ice breaks off and you barely escape only to leap to another side of the mountain. As you  continue climbing you fall down. Thankfully you are attached to another character are saved.  Lara swings back to another frozen cliff and is able to climb up only before seeing an avalanche come down the mountain. Lara rushes to safety and the demo ends with a trailer of scenes from the game.

Rare is next with their collection of titles–30 of them in one collection. It will feature 10,000 Gamerscore and is coming on August 4, 2015. This is Rare Replay.  But there is more.  A new game is coming from Rare and is the most ambitious game they have ever created.

The player blocks the sun from their eyes as you wander through a world that has no others in it with nice music playing in the background. All of a sudden another player runs by to a beach with a pirate ship and you are transported to the ship going into the ocean, opening treasure chests, making people walk the plank, and seeing another pirate ship attack you. This is Sea of Thieves.  No release date given.

Fable Legends is the next title and it is coming to Windows 10 and Xbox One. A brief cinematic trailer is shown. Seriously, can we stop with the non-gameplay?

Anything ;you earn or buy on Windows 10, will be available on the Xbox One version of Fable Legends.

Microsoft is partnering with Valve and their VR headset as well as Oculus.  Speaking of Oculus, every Oculus Rift at launch will come with an Xbox One controller. But Microsoft is also in with HoloLens and they have a new version of Minecraft made for HoloLens.

The game world comes alive on a table and gives you an overview of minecraft.  Not really playable this way but it is cool to see it projected into a wall and play with an Xbox One Controller.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition Beta begins on Xbox One this week.  why does it have to be during E3? The game is coming later this fall.

Gears of War 4 is coming Holiday 2016. Xbox has an impressive lineup of games for 2015. Can Sony counter?
