Today on M3: My Morning Musings, I take a closer look at The Limited Edition Physical Release of Broken Age, The Delay of Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA Sales Topping 80 Million, Xbox Game Pass Launching in June, Marvel Heroes Omega Open Beta Now Available, & Gwent Open Beta Now Playing.

Limited Edition Physical Broken Age
Double Fine Announced today that they are teaming up with Limited Run Games to create a Physical Release of a Broken Age on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita for $29.99. Originally Released in 2014 after a successful Kickstarter, Broken Age features many great voices including Elijah Wood, Jennifer Hale, Jack Black, and others. If you are wanting to pick up this Limited Release, I recommend you head over to their website for more details. The Physical Release will come out on June 9, 2017, and will be made available from the Limited Run Games website.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed
Rockstar Games has revealed that their highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 will no longer come out in Fall of 2017 and be delayed until sometime in Spring 2018. To make up for this, Rockstar will reveal more details about the game this summer but the tears of fans all over the world will be flowing until Spring 2018. However, a bad game lives forever.  Hopefully the delay will ensure more quality and content when the game finally releases.  Also, how about a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2? The GTA series sure seems to be popular on PC.

GTA 5 Sales Top 80 Million
In other Rockstar Games news, Take Two Interactive, the Parent company of Rockstar, let investors on a call know that Grand Theft Auto 5 now has reached over 80 million sales across all platforms. That is an amazing number that continues to make this franchise one of the top selling gaming franchises of all time.

Xbox Game Pass Launching in June
Xbox One fans looking for more games to play won’t have to wait long for the new Xbox Game Pass service. Microsoft has revealed that the service will release on June 1 for $9.99 a month. Current Xbox Live Gold subscribers can access it starting today, May 24, and will get a 14 day trial of the service before committing to paying for it.

The service will offer 100 games on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 and include:
Xbox One Titles
Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Mad Max, Terraria, NBA 2K16, Sunset Overdrive and PayDay 2.

Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibile titles
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, BioShock, Fable 3, Gears of War, Soulcalibur, Viva Piñata and XCOM: Enemy Within.

Marvel Heroes Omega Open Beta Starts for PS4
As we have discussed on Parents Press Play & Friends a few weeks ago, Marvel Heroes Omega has launched its open beta on PlayStation 4. Xbox One owners will nee to wait until June 20 to get in on the action. PC Players have had access to this world for many years now.

With the release of the new Open Beta, players can get access to the Daredevil for free. Gazillion, the Developer of Marvel Heroes, will continue to support all three platforms: PS4, XB1, and PC, in the future but doesn’t mention specifics on how they will handle updates in the future? My guess would be they would appear first on PC and slowly roll out to consoles. But that is only a guess.

GWENT Open Beta
In other Open Beta news, GWENT is now available for all players on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 platforms. While CD Projekt RED is working on a Windows 10 Universal Application, where your progress is shared on Xbox One and PC, the current PC version is only available through GOG. Keep this in mind when playing the game on PC or Xbox One right now.

GWENT has been reworked with a ton of new animations, new starter decks, gameplay changes, and more. They are continuing to listen to feedback and will tweak the game where it needs it. I have personally had a lot of fun playing GWENT and suggest you jump in if haven’t already. You can download the game on PSN, Xbox Live, or at GOG.
