Nyko Reveals E3 2017 Lineup of Products
Today, Nyko revealed their latest line of accessories for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation 4 Pro, and Samsung Gear VR. The titles and screenshots for the products revealed are included below:
Nintendo Switch Lineup
Power Shell Case
Power Shell Case is a dual-purpose case for Nintendo Switch – it’s the perfect solution for storing the console and up to 12 games (or 11 games and two Micro-SD cards) when not in use, and includes a 6000 mAh battery pack for easy recharging of the console with the included integrated Type-C cable. The Type-C cable and accompanying cable management system are integrated into the interior of the case to help keep the cable tidy. Power Shell Case also features a Micro-USB port on the outside of the case and comes with a separate Micro-USB cable to easily recharge the internal battery pack. To guard against overheating, the Power Shell Case comes with a built-in auto shutoff feature that prevents recharging of the console while the case is fully closed. The case also includes a built-in, collapsible stand that easily flips up to support the console in Table-Top mode. The stand features a cutout pass-through for the built-in charging cable, allowing the console to continue charging while in use. Portable Docking Kit for Switch
Portable Docking Kit is a compact docking station that allows players to easily connect the Switch console to a TV without carrying their home dock everywhere with them. Powered by a USB Type-C AC Adapter, the kit keeps the Switch charged while playing on the TV and includes a built-in stand to keep the console upright, with ports for the HDMI cable and AC adapter. Portable Docking Kit will be available in Fall 2017 for an MSRP of $44.99, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com and GameStop.com.
Charge Block for Joy-Con
Charge Block is a sleek drop-and-charge solution for Joy-Cons that allows players to easily slide and charge up to four controllers in each block. Charge Block for Joy-Con is compatible with Nyko’s existing line of Charge Blocks for PS4 and Xbox One controllers, and users can connect blocks from the various platforms to create a universal charging system. Charge Block plugs into a USB port or AC outlet for recharging. Charge Block for Joy-Con will be available in August 2017 for an MSRP of $19.99, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com and GameStop.com.
Charge Block Pro for Switch
Charge Block Pro is a sleek drop-and-charge solution for Nintendo’s Pro Wireless Controller for Switch. Charge Block Pro uses Nyko’s patented dongle system to allow users to easily drop their charger into the block for seamless charging. Compatible with Nyko’s existing line of Charge Blocks, Charge Block Pro can connect to Charge Blocks for Xbox One, PS4, and the Joy-Cons to create a universal charging system. Clip Grip Power
Clip Grip Power is an ergonomic attachment that allows users to mount their cell phone to easily interact with the Nintendo Online App while playing. Clip Grip Power also includes an internal battery, which gives users extra play time by serving as a versatile secondary power source for the Joy-Cons, cell phone, or Switch console itself. It also includes built-in storage for game cards and Micro-SD cards inside the grip for easy access. Clip Grip Power will be available later this month for an MSRP of $24.99, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
Power Pak is a 5000 mAh battery pack that provides up to two times the battery life of Switch. Power Pak easily recharges using a Type-C cable, and includes a reinforced, collapsible kickstand that supports both the Switch and the added weight of Power Pak. Power Pak will be available in July 2017 for an MSRP of $39.99, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
Boost Pak for Switch
Boost Pak is a power pack that attaches to the base of the Switch console to serve as an additional battery source for extended playing time. It features a dedicated power button so that it can easily be turned on when needed, without wasting additional battery life. Boost Pak is dockable and can remain attached when Switch is docked in TV mode, and easily recharges via an included Type-C cable. Boost Pak also has a toggle that lets users control their charging mode when docked, allowing them to either charge both the Switch and Boost Pak simultaneously, or charge the Switch while outputting the video signal to the TV. Boost Pak will be available in August 2017 for an MSRP of $29.99, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com and GameStop.com.
Intercooler for Switch
Intercooler is a modular airflow accessory that pushes cool air into the back of the Switch dock to provide greater airflow for the console’s intake. Intercooler features built-in temperature sensors that turn it on and off as needed, and the modular design allows players to use the dock in both horizontal and vertical positions. Intercooler is easily set up by replacing the back panel of the dock, which then attaches to the back of the Intercooler. It is connected and powered via the USB port on the side or back of the dock using an included micro-USB cable, which comes with a cable management system to keep the surrounding area tidy for efficient airflow. Intercooler for Switch will be available in August 2017 for an MSRP of $29.99, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
Core Controller is a full-sized controller for players who prefer the feel and ergonomics of a more traditional controller over the Joy-Cons. The controller features wired precision for lag-free play and includes programmable turbo for any controller button. Swivel Grip for Nintendo Switch is an ergonomic, snap-on attachment for Joy-Con controllers that provides added size and a controller-like grip for additional comfort during longer gameplay sessions. The collapsible grips easily swivel into place or out of the way for easy storage. Swivel Grip does not need to be removed to attach the Joy-Con to the console, and it’s design preserves the functionality of the face and shoulder buttons. Thin Case for Switch
Thin Case is an ultra-thin case for the Switch that protects the console without adding major bulk or changing the form factor. The case protects both the outer shell of the Switch and Joy-Cons, and comes with a tempered glass screen protector. The minimal size of the case allows it to remain attached while the Switch is docked, saving players from the hassle of removing it every time they want to charge the console. Bubble Case for Switch
Bubble Case is a shock absorbent case for the Switch made of high density polyurethane that provides full-coverage protection for the console and Joy-Cons. The Joy-Cons feature an additional foam protective barrier, and can be removed from the console without removing the case for uninterrupted gameplay. Bubble Case also comes with a screen protector. Kick Stand for Switch
Kick Stand is a metal, snap-on kickstand for the Switch that provides a more sturdy foundation for the console, and can also store two additional Micro-SD cards. Kick Stand will be available in August 2017 for an MSRP of $4.99, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com and GameStop.com.
Dock Bands are protective grips for Nintendo Switch that guard the device against screen damage while docking. The textured surface provides a stronger grip and prevents slipping, all without blocking any buttons or ports. Dock Bands will be available later this month for an MSRP of $4.99, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
PlayStation 4 Slim and Pro
Modular Charge Station for PS4 (Pro/Slim)
Modular Charge Station is a drop-and-go controller charging dock that attaches to the top of the console and simultaneously stores and charges two DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controllers. Modular Charge Station is now compatible with the 1000 series, 1200 series, Slim, and Pro PS4 models. It features a dual USB pass-through and doesn’t require an AC cord or wall outlet for power, and includes two patented micro-USB charging dongles for easy drop-and-charge functionality. Modular Charge Station is compatible with most other Modular products from Nyko, and will be available in August 2017 for an MSRP of $19.99.
Samsung Gear VR with Controller
Nyko Technologies and Samsung have partnered to create PlayPad VR for Gear VR with Controller, a wireless VR controller that creates the ideal gaming experience for Samsung Gear VR headsets. PlayPad VR has slider pads and buttons on the back for clickable sticks that allow for console controller precision while maintaining a sleek form factor. PlayPad VR charges via a Type C cable, and easily clips onto the front of the Gear VR to replace the normal cover for painless storage. PlayPad VR is compatible with previous versions of Gear VR. The controller will be available later this year for an MSRP of $49.99.
