Sonic Mania Review

Sonic Mania brings in the things that I loved about the classic Sonic franchise, but with all new levels and experiences. Released on the Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC on August 15, 2017, with a $20 price tag, it was an impulse buy, but one that I definitely do not regret. I personally have been playing on the Nintendo Switch and have loved every moment of it!

Splatoon 2 Review

Splatoon 2 is an action-packed game that reminds me of the combination of paintball and an arcade shooter. I should mention that I never had the chance to play the first Splatoon. So this review is not in comparison to the original, but more so as someone new to the franchise. Since the Wii U had such poor sales, I am sure that there are several people in this same position.

E3 2017 Best of Show

E3 2017 has now come and gone. Here at CVGame, and our Parents Press Play Podcast, we have seen a ton of great content coming in the form of sequels and prequels. At the same time, we have also seen a rise in a lot of new IP. After spending a week in Los Angeles to see the best that the game industry has to offer, I have selected my E3 2017 Best of Show.

First, a little bit about these awards. I don’t name an Overall Best of Show award and haven’t done that for many years. Instead, I list games in no particular order. These titles are what I find to be especially unique and interesting based on my extensive experience in the industry and personal tastes.

Extinction E3 2017 Interview

Later in the day, I went over to the Maximum Games Meeting Room once again to view a rather unexpected title that I knew nothing about. Iron Galaxy, the developer of great fighting games, is working on this title for Maximum Games, and the David vs Goliath gameplay looked very unique.

HideIt Mounts E3 2017 Interview

I had the opportunity to meet with Relina Shirley, CEO of HideIt Mounts, about their lineup of products. From my hands-on time, the company really seems to listen to their customers, delivers a great product, and fills a need that almost every person has in their home.
